He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding;” -Daniel 2:20-21 In God’s mighty design, he gave the world seasons; that the world would be replenished yearly, and that there would always be beauty. The changing of the seasons are a picture of what God does in our lives. We have seasons of wealth and of poverty, of togetherness and of singleness, of peace and of chaos, of happiness and of sadness. God has these in place for a reason—to teach us to rely upon him alone, and to give him the glory he deserves. It’s also a picture of how we go through stages in life, where we were dead in our trespasses but were made new as the budding flowers in spring.
