Hello from the other side 👋 EuropeanSpaceAgency astronaut Thom_Astro waves to NASA astronaut Astro_Kimbrough as they took on the 8th spacewalk of the year yesterday. They worked outside of the International Space Station (ISS) for six hours and 28 minutes to complete the first installation of the new rollout solar arrays. The courageous astronaut duo successfully unfolded the solar array, bolted it into place, and connected cables to the station’s power supply to complete deployment, as well as begun preparation for the next solar array installation. 📅Mark your calendars: the next spacewalk to install the second solar array is taking place this Friday, June 25 at 8am ET (12:00 UT).
