🚀 Big rocket energy. Our Space Launch System (SLS), the world’s largest and most powerful rocket, is being assembled at NASAKennedy this summer! Once complete, the SLS will launch our Orion Spacecraft around the Moon on the uncrewed #Artemis I mission later this fall. Those two solid white rocket boosters you’re looking at? They're each taller than the Statue of Liberty and will produce more than 3.6 million pounds of thrust in just 2 minutes to lift the rocket and spacecraft off of Earth. Weighing more than 188,000 pounds without fuel and standing 212 feet, the core stage is the largest element of the SLS rocket.
