On top of the world.
On Dec. 2, NASA astronaut Andrew Morgan snapped a photo of the the Earth 250 miles (~400 km) below him. He was embarking on the third spacewalk to upgrade the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer’s (AMS) thermal pump system.
The AMS is designed to measure antimatter in cosmic rays, which helps us search for evidence of dark matter.
