U.S. Deaflympic Player of the Week, shumes13. When Scott was a squirt in Seattle, he was entered in the fastest skater race at a skills competition. He was the second to last skater to go and flew around the final corner in the lead. He was already picking a spot on his bookcase for the trophy when the last skater came out with a Russian name on the back of his jersey. This kid flew around the ice like his countryman Alex Ovechkin. Scott’s fastest skater title was lost to history. But he came back in 2017 to win a gold medal at the World Deaf Ice Hockey Championship. We think Scott will be looking to reverse history when we play Russia at the Deaflympics.
