Mindfulness and walking can go hand in hand. And today marks the start of
#nationalwalkingmonth here in the UK. So even if you’re not going to walk to raise money then try and get a few more steps in your day for your own wellbeing. 👣👣👣
You can actually go for a 10-15-minute stroll and practice mindfulness the whole way through. 👣Really pay attention to each step you take along the way – the lifting and falling of each foot. 🦵🏼Notice each movement in your legs, how your arms swing, how your back and neck feels. Tap in to each part of your body as you walk. 🧠If your mind wanders to those unfinished bits of business in your life just try to bring it back to the present moment.
👂🏼Concentrating on the sounds around you is a good way to come back to mindfulness.
