When my daughter was in public school, I felt so frustrated by the system and seeing her needs go unmet. As a public school teacher I found it frustrating to be part of a system that wanted to educate all kids in the same manner. The truth is children are not all the same and they do not all learn in the same manner. It's why I left the classroom. It's also why I founded MindSprout. Our model allows us to treat kids as individuals. In a Montessori environment much of what we do is child-led. The classes are small which allows for more individual attention. Each student's weekly lesson plan is tailored to their needs and interests. Providing this experience for children is the most rewarding experience of my career.
