Attieke originated in ivory coast but it is eaten in Liberia, Guinea and other West African countries. It is a grain made from Cassava, otherwise known as Yucca. Do you want to see more West African dishes?
INGREDIENTS:
Attieke
Pepper sauce: red onions and habanero peppers
Salad: white onions, cucumber, and tomato
Optional: Fried fish & plantain
DIRECTIONS:
For the pepper sauce, blend peppers and onions until it creates a paste. Cook on the stove with your oil of choice.
Attieke: Add a little bit of water and microwave for 30 seconds and stir. I recommend doing this
2-3 times until you get a soft texture.
