Dr. Kristi Sweeney, chair and associate professor in the department of sport management, is a lifelong sports enthusiast who teaches courses in sport finance, fundraising and facility management. This proud soccer mom has been teaching at UNF for 14 years. Her teaching philosophy centers on inspiring her students to think critically and analytically. Dr. Sweeney's decision to pursue this profession was driven by her passion for teaching. Her choice to join UNF was influenced by the University's strong commitment to community-based experiential learning and the sport-rich environment that Jacksonville provides both her teaching and our students. As an educator, her aim is to empower students to take ownership of their college education and create an original and engaging learning experience. Faculty fun fact: Dr. Sweeney is a twin!
