👋 Hey CUBuffs, meet sophomore thrower ames.newman! 🏅 Hailing from Jenks, Oklahoma, Ames is more than a talented athlete; he's a future Emergency Room Doctor in the making. 🚑 Son of Jeff and Lix Newman, and big brother to the impressive Cate Newman (14), a state champion equestrian in Oklahoma. 📚 A graduate of Jenks High School, Ames is currently diving into Biochemistry while minoring in Chinese at CU Boulder. His passion for Chemistry fuels his ambition to attend medical school, and his desire to be fluent in Chinese opens doors for international opportunities post-M.D. 🌐 🎓 Academically, Ames is a 2x Athletic Director's Honor Roll, Arts and Sciences Dean's List Fall and Spring 2022, and a proud member of the Honor College.
