This experience completely changed my view for my future. The program allows 14-17 year olds to explore life in the hospital in a variety of different departments through volunteer work. I had the amazing opportunity to volunteer more than 100 hours in the labor and delivery department, a position not previously offered students. I was beyond ecstatic about this opportunity and was able to learn so much. I observed births and shadowed nurses as they triaged patients.
