hereās what you need:
-1 block of mozzerella cheese (block will be easiest to shred, freshly shredded will melt better than pre-shredded š«¶)
-shredded Parmesan or similar cheese blend
-3 cloves of garlic (chopped)
-5 tbsp. herb compound butter or 5 tbsp. of butter + chopped rosemary, thyme, sage
-a crusty loaf of your choosing, I used a French Baby Boule purchased at wholefoods š„
to make:
-melt butter
-grate mozzarella cheese (about 1 cup)
-combine mozzerella with 1/4th cup grated Parmesan
-combine with chopped garlic, herbs
-cut loaf with a diamond pattern, first cut straight lines vertically and then create the diamond pieces by cutting across
-open up the loaf carefully
-fill the loaf with the herb and butter mixture
-fill the loaf with the grated cheese mixture
-wrap in tin foil and cook on a baking sheet at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes
-serve immediately or preserve in foil for a brief time before serving⦠imm...
