Mom guilt is REAL.
If we abandon what brought us joy because we think everything we do should be for our kids, burnout, depression and resentment can start to creep in.
But here’s the thing, we can’t pour from an empty cup. If we don’t take care of ourselves, we’ll eventually not be able to show up for others in the way we want to.
So as hard as it is, we need to make self care a priority. Here are some tips:
💗 Take a long, relaxing bath or shower.
💗 Go for a walk outside or do some other form of exercise.
💗 Invest in comfortable and supportive clothing and undergarments that make you feel beautiful.
💗Spend some time reading a book or listening to music.
💗 Treat yourself to a favorite meal or snack.
💗 Schedule a date with yourself to do something you enjoy.
💗 Call a friend or loved one to catch up .
💗 Include yourself in photos too!
