“I grew up in the church. Although my father was a minister of music in a number of churches growing up, I still considered myself a ‘preacher’s kid.’ He was invited to sing in many churches on Sunday mornings and at many different revival services. My sister and I always went along. We heard many, many people share stories of how broken their lives had gotten, and how God had miraculously saved and changed them. I was jealous. I wanted that story. My narcissism ran so deep that I wanted a ‘cool’ transformation story to share. I had accepted Christ at such a young age that I never got to live a life of sin, and I wanted it. So I went out and did just that when I graduated high school.
