"I realized Jesus was my personal savior after a preacher at a conference clearly laid out the good news of the Gospel to me. I learned there was nothing I could do to earn God's love, that Jesus died for all my sin and then rose again, making me right with God. Before I heard that, I assumed my church attendance or good deeds were what got God's attention.
