⚾🥎 The year 2021 was huge for baseball, softball and Baseball5. The return of baseball to the international stage with the Olympic Qualifiers started a year which was headlined with baseball and softball’s amazing return to the Olympics themselves - softball opening the Tokyo 2020 Games and the baseball gold medal game becoming the most-watched Olympic event in Japan. We saw some legends in action as well as some new events in play with baseball featuring in the inaugural Olympic Virtual Series and Baseball5 included in the Tokyo 2020 Fan Park on the side lines of the Paralympics. The year ended in the best way possible with two World Cups - Venezuela capturing the U-23 Baseball World Cup and USA claiming the honours at the U-18 Women’s Softball World Cup.
