Another week, another #MajorMonday! 🎉 Today we're featuring the Chicana and Chicano Studies major and minor. The Department of Chicana and Chicano Studies is one of the first of its kind in the nation. It is a transnational program of teaching, research, and public service that provides students with the opportunity to explore the history, politics, culture, and ethics of Chicana/o/x-Latinx communities on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border. Chicana and Chicano studies majors acquire the knowledge and skills to exercise responsible leadership, effectively engage diverse communities, and advocate for social justice and equality.
