After over four decades,
#AngelaBassett is FINALLY getting her
#Oscar❗️#Variety confirms that Bassett, along with director Mel Brooks and editor Carol Littleton, will receive an Honorary Oscar at this year’s Governors Awards in November.
The honor is a long time coming for Bassett, who was first nominated for a Best Actress Oscar for her iconic portrayal of the late
#TinaTurner in 1993’s What’s Love Got To Do With It? She has also turned out memorable roles in Boyz N The Hood (1991), Malcolm X (1992), and, most recently, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Do you think this honorary Oscar makes things right? What's your favorite Angela Basset role?
