Wake up bright and early this Saturday! Don’t worry – there’s coffee to help. April 17th is the unofficial first day of spring when the opfarmersmarket brings the open-aired, distanced, walk-up market concept back to Matt Ross Community Center. Come experience community and culture in the heart of downtown Overland Park where “seasonal” is everyone’s favorite food. You’ll find 90 vendors this year (who speak 16 languages, by the way). There are urban farmers who farm on .1 acres and farmers who farm on hundred of acres. You’ll meet first generation farmers to fourth generation farmers. The farmers’ market offers gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan and no sugar added products to help with all those special dietary needs. This diversity is what makes the #OPFM so special in Kansas.
