Buffalo Wild Wings, a sports bar franchise with more than 1,000 locations across the globe, is closing a prominent downtown Portland location in a city-owned garage that had devolved into a “haven for crime and drug use,” according to a scorched-earth memo from local franchise owner World Wide Wings. In a team memo shared with The Oregonian/OregonLive, World Wide Wings President Wray Hutchinson informed staff that the Buffalo Wild Wings at 327 S.W. Morrison was closing, effective Thursday, April 4. Employees were offered jobs at the chain’s half dozen other metro area locations, including one at Northeast Portland’s Cascade Station mall. “It is with a great deal of sadness, anger, and frustration I share with you that, after 17 years, we will be closing our sports bar on 4th and Morrison effective today,” Hutchinson wrote. “This decision has not been made lightly.” Read more at the link in our bio. 📸: Stephanie Yao Long #business #closing #buffalowildwings #portland #portlandoreg...
