Millions stood in awe, hearts pounding with anticipation and eyes filled with wonder to witness the 2024 total solar
#eclipse — the last total solar eclipse to sweep North America until 2045!
On April 8, the world witnessed a total solar
#eclipse that spanned North America from Mexico to Canada. It made landfall in Mazatlán, crossed the United States from Texas to Maine, and departed across Canada’s Atlantic coast.
A total solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Sun and the Earth, completely blocking the face of the Sun. The sky darkens as if it were dawn or dusk.
