We recognize kids have a lot going on, but they need quality sleep for their health. Getting enough good sleep also helps kids perform better in school. A few helpful tips.
Tips:
-Get active (an active child by day is a sleepy child by night!)
-Cut the caffeine. Caffeine can interfere with sleep ,and isn’t the best choice for kids anyways.
-Power down all screens (TV, phone, computer, video games) at least an hour before bed.
-Set a healthy sleep environment. Most kids sleep best in a cool, quiet and dark room.
-Make a routine and stay consistent. Develop a relaxing bed time routine and stay consistent to prevent any wiggle room for stall tactics- which will ensure that your child gets a good night’s sleep.
