San Francisco Under a Yellow Sky - September 2020 This “apocalyptic” like footage was taken around noon yesterday (colors not edited). Fires in Northern California have blown smoke down to the San Francisco Bay Area. The smoke sits on top of the marine layer allowing only red light to pass through. At the surface the air quality is somewhat ok because the marine layer is constantly pumping in fresh air from the ocean. That could change as the week goes on.
