Ph.D. student Catherine Doyle studies #cassava mosaic disease, but for her, it’s not just something you can study in the #lab. She says in the lab, you look at one component — you break it down into small things and you don’t really look at the holistic picture. But when she went to do #research in #Tanzania, she saw the diversity of the #disease and how different conditions affected it.
