Homemade beef stew!!! Ingredients: beef Chuck cut into cubes, mushrooms, 1 yellow onion, celery, carrots, frozen peas, 2 cups of red wine, flour for dredging, garlic, olive oil, garlic powder, bay leaves, thyme and butter and beef broth.
1. Preheat your oven to 325
2. Dry beef cubes and then toss beef cubes in flour and then season with salt and pepper.
3. Coat large Dutch oven or skillet with oil. Cook beef over med. heat until browned. Don't crowd the pan. Cook in batches if necessary.. set aside
4. Add more oil to pan if necessary. Add carrots, onions and celery. Sautee about 5 minutes until onions are translucent and fragrant. Add garlic and cook 2 minutes more. Add red wine and bring to boil. Be sure to scrape the bottom of the pan and release the flavor at the bottom in the browned bits. Add beef back and cook for about 5 minutes.
