Over 3,500 people visited the Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District center in Beaverton on Sunday to celebrate Eid al-Fitr.
Eid al-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, a month-long period of fasting held each year when Muslims focus on their relationship with God and others. The date varies from year to year, based on the Islamic calendar. This year, it ran from the evening of March 10 to April 9.
The event, full of families and open to the public for free, included inflatables, laser tag, crafts, games, a bazaar and food vendors.
