Anthony Richardson is heading to court over a ticket that says the Florida Gators quarterback was driving 105 mph.
A copy of the traffic ticket obtained by the Gainesville Sun shows the 19-year-old was speeding in a 2021 Dodge vehicle along West Newberry Road — a 60 mph zone — on April 4, more than a week before his standout performance during the Orange and Blue spring game.
No one was injured and no accident occurred, according to the Alachua County Sheriff's Office.
“I know I’m not perfect, but it was a mistake,” Richardson told Gators Online. “I was speeding. My mom always tells me to drive safe, because I can not only hurt myself but I can hurt other people. I shouldn’t have done it, and I can definitely say I learned my lesson.”
