Day 1 of the USATF Championships: ⠀ We’ve got one prelim and two finals for you today! All the action will be on NBC Sports Gold (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will on be on TV). All times below are Eastern. ⠀ Women’s 1,500m Prelim (6:30pm ET): Shelby, Kate, and Elise will try to qualify smoothly for Saturday’s final. ⠀ Women’s 10,000m Final (9:50pm ET): Marielle will battle to try and make her third US Team on the track. She is one of just three women to have the IAAF World Championships standard, so unless a fourth athlete can run under 31:50 and beat Marielle, she will be on the team. But after her second place finish last year, Marielle will hungry to hunt the top spot on the podium. ⠀ Men’s 10,000m Final (10:29pm ET): Lopez looks to defend his 2018 title and punch his ticket to #Doha2019.
