The easiest lemon bars 🍋
Crust:
1 ¼ c All Purpose Flour
1/3 c Powdered sugar
a pinch of salt
6 tablespoons browned butter
Filling:
1 ½ c granulated sugar
¼ c All Purpose Flour
1.5 tablespoons lemon zest
½ c fresh lemon juice
4 eggs
Steps:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
Place the butter in a small saucepan on medium heat to brown
Combine flour, powdered sugar and salt in a medium size bowl and whisk to combine
When the butter is browned it will be amber in color and fragrant
Add butter to try mix and combine till a dough with loose crumbles forms
use a 7x11 glass dish and line with parchment paper
Pour crust into baking and press down with finders
Poke holes in the crust with a fork for air to escape
Place the crust in the over for 20 minutes or until golden brown
In a new bowl, add granulated sugar and flour and mix till combined
Zest 1 whole lemon into the bowl and massage the zest into the sugar to release the lemony scent
Juice lemons until you get 1/2 cup lemon juice, ...
