With most of the university sports coming to a close that means it’s time for personal projects... 😍 • First personal project: try a mysterious and moody portrait in the studio... • Most of the time I shoot clean, white and plain in the studio (for graphic design and cutouts). It was nice to try and create something completely different than what I am used to shooting. And I am sure glad I did! • I struggled at first because when you shoot with a white background, you’re not too worried about fall off- you want the background white. Here, I had to really control the fall off. The background needed to stay black but I wanted to make sure I could see a catchlight in Carrington’s eyes. • Plus, an added struggle was the fog machine in back. It was my first time using a fog machine and I couldn’t get it go when I wanted it too 🙈😂 Thank goodness Cedric helped with the aerosol spray! • What do you guys think?
