Last night at the FC Stars Complex, our 2006 Lancaster Boys teams came together for an ALS Awareness Jamboree to celebrate the life of Jonathan Kinnersley, the father of 2006 FC Stars Central Blue player Charlie Kinnersley. Charlie joined FC Stars this past summer, traveling all the way from Vermont for practices and games. Even though this is Charlie’s first year with his new team, his character quickly shined through, and he was named a team captain by the end of preseason. Mid-way through this year’s spring season, Charlie unfortunately lost his dad after a 2-year battle with ALS. Charlie's mom had been his dad's full-time caregiver and hadn't been able to see Charlie play for 2 years. Despite losing his dad, Charlie never missed a practice or a game and continued to lead his team both on and off the field.  Together, our three 2006 Central Boys teams started a fundraiser to make a donation in memory of Jonathan.
