Travelers at the Gibraltar International Airport were treated to a mesmerizing site as a Levanter cloud formed over the Rock of Gibraltar.
The stunning scene happened Wednesday and is said to be a common sight when warm, moist easterly winds from the Mediterranean are forced upwards over the Rock of Gibraltar. The air then cools as it rises, and the air condenses into a cloud.
"This cap cloud can be sculpted by the shape of The Rock if conditions are just right," the FOX Forecast Center said.
