Did you know each bird in the Peek-a-Bird set expresses a different emotion? ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ช Help toddlers learn to identify colors, numbers, shapes, and emotions with baby-birdie pals who are always ready to play the day away. These birds are great for letting your child describe what they see (tears, closed eyes, raised wings, etc.) and help them name the correct emotion. This kind of play also allows you to ask why they think the bird feels that way. Maybe the bird is happy to be with its mommy or sad because itโ€™s hungry. There are no wrong answers! Labeling and contextualizing emotions in this way is a natural SEL connection. To reinforce this learning, call out a feeling (โ€œsadโ€), or hold up a connection bird expressing that emotion for the child to imitate. Which bird describes how youโ€™re feeling today?๐Ÿ‘‡ . . . #tinyhumansbigemotions #regulation #regulate #regulated #selfcontrol #selfaware #selfawareness #emotions #executivefunctioning #executivefunctioningskills #theydeservebetter...
