Tomorrow is Halloween 🎃 👻 Here are three easy fine motor activities to get in the spooky spirit 👇 For all three activities, you need a sensory base (we used Pluffle from educationalinsights), mini cauldrons for sorting, and fine motor tools! 🕷️ Sort by Object: Use Handy Scoopers and work on sorting the objects by color, size, or creepiness level. 🕸️ Sort by Kind: Work on classifying using the Handy Scoopers to sort the Backyard Bugs by kind. ☠️ Sort by Color: Work on color recognition using the Handy Scoopers to sort by color. By sorting objects, kiddos separate them according to similarities and differences. When comparing, the children determine if an object has more or less of an attribute. Classifying and sorting activities help children to develop a range of thinking skills and build the foundations for later problem-solving!
