And while it's nearly impossible to predict when it will happen, a new study has named the airports with the highest percentage of flight delays—so here’s your chance to avoid them at all costs. We know what you might be thinking, but airport size doesn’t play a big factor in whether a flight may be delayed, at least according to an expert. Utah's Provo Airport has the highest percentage of flights delayed at 39.74%, despite only welcoming 2,194 landing flights in the time period considered. Additionally, the average delay was 1 hour, 42 minutes, and 31 seconds, which is the highest among the airports considered.
