****Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station Deputies Conducting Motorcycle Safety Enforcement in the City of Santa Clarita****
The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station will have extra deputies out on patrol May 21st, 2024 between 5 AM and 2 PM, in the City of Santa Clarita, looking for violations made by drivers and motorcyclists that increase the risk of crashes. The Motorcycle Safety Enforcement Operation aims at educating both motorcyclists and drivers on the rules of the road.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department encourages drivers and riders to share the road. The top primary crash factors for motorcycles are unsafe speed, improper turning, right-of-way violations, driving under the influence and unsafe lane changes.
