Also, I am so always blown away by how many assumptions people make after seeing a 7-sec video 🤯 Honestly, I’ve gotten way worse comments than these too but I decided to spare you all some of the expletives… But for real, doing motherhood my own way has been so freeing. It would be a lie to say my life/adventures haven’t changed (they’ve changed A LOT) but I’ve never felt like I had to give up everything I love when I become a mom. Also, it is impossible to know if it’s because I started hiking with her young or it’s just her personality, but my daughter LOVES being outside and it brings me so much joy to do something we BOTH love together. If you’ve felt confined by the societal expectations of what being a parent “should look like” let me be that little voice in your ear reminding you that there isn’t one right way to parent.
