#ad I strongly believe that we owe it to the next generation to do our part!
As a steward partner for Care for Colorado, the coloradowildlifecouncil recommends starting with LNT (
#LeaveNoTrace):
-Know before you go: Do your research before you head out on your adventure
-Stick to the trails: Stay on established/designated trails to minimize impact
-Leave it as you find it: This includes obvious things like not carving your name into a tree but also less obvious things like stacking rocks
-Trash the trash: Pack out any trash you bring. Better yet, pick up any pieces of trash you see along the way (even if it isn’t yours)
-Be careful with fire: Check current restrictions before you head out. All it takes is one rogue ember to start a massive wildfire
-Keep wildlife wild: Don’t feed or approach any animals
-Share our trails and parks: Recreation in Colorado has a lot of different faces. Be open and kind to all the different users of trails and parks
