It’s chocolate season (aka every season), time for homemade hot fudge sauce + a spicy variation.
INGREDIENTS (Makes 2 Cups):
2TB unsalted butter
⅔ c heavy whipping cream
½ c light corn syrup
¼ c dark brown sugar
¼ c cocoa powder (dutch process)
6 oz. bittersweet chocolate
½ tsp sea salt
1 tsp vanilla
STEPS:
- Chop bittersweet chocolate
- Combine butter, cream, brown sugar, cocoa powder, corn syrup over med-low heat.
- Cook 3-5 mins on low, (careful not to burn!) stirring, until glossy.
- Remove from heat
- Add chopped chocolate, salt, vanilla, & spices.
🌶️ To SPICE IT UP🌶️ add:
½ tsp chili powder
1 tsp cinnamon
