Homemade crab cakes (my favorite food on planet earth)
In a bowl mix the following:
- 1 pound crab meat
- 1.5 cups of bread crumbs (I used stale bread)
- .5 red bell pepper
- 2 green onions
- 1 stalk of celery
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Seasonings - I recommend Old Bay (I didn’t have any) but if you don’t have it or forget it, salt, pepper, cayenne, chili, garlic, onion, coriander, paprika etc. all the things.
Cook the cakes on each side for about 3 minutes or so (until golden brown) in a combination of beef tallow and butter. Sprinkle lemon juice as it’s cooking.
For the sauce:
- Fresh Dill
- Sour Cream
- Lemon Juice
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
