Sveta Nedelya Church in Sofia, Bulgaria. Originally built in the 10th century, in April 1925 it was destroyed in a terrorist attack carried about by the Bulgarian Communist Party meant to assassinate Tsar Boris III, along with other high ranking officials and aristocrats. They first assassinated a high ranking military official, in order to have all their targets assemble for his funeral in Sveta Nedelya. During the funeral they blew up 25kg of explosives planted in the roof. Unfortunately for them, Tsar Boris III was late because he was attending another funeral, and survived. 160 people were killed in the attack, and 500 were injured, making it one of the most delves tatting terrorist attacks in Europe'a history.
