Today’s #FeatureFriday is Mallory! First, we’ll tell you how she got here. In 2012 she changed careers from being a full-time executive pastry chef to teaching and advising students in a community college. That’s when she knew she was in the right career path. She has worked in higher education since that time, and in 2017 she moved to Nebraska looking for “The Good Life”. She is now a part of our UNL Career Services team because she is passionate about working with students, especially around experiential learning and internships. Working in Career Services has really ingrained the importance of collaboration and collegiality. “UNL is a big place – and to really effect change, you must work in partnership with those around you and across campus to do good work.” Mallory’s fun fact is “I am from Colorado and moved to Nebraska “on purpose” because I like it better here.” Her favorite spot on campus is the Sheldon Art Museum. “During the warmer months, I like to eat lunch in the sculptur...
