Happy Birthday to zionnps , Utah’s first National Park!
On November 19th, 1919 Zion formally became a National Park. Zion was already a place of refuge and sanctuary for many plants and animals, as well as its earliest Native American settler, and later, western pioneers. Since its designation as a park, Zion has seen tremendous growth. Visitation to the park each year is now well over 4 million.
