part 9 | fun places to hide from the heat This one is for the outdoorsy families (which by the way it’s always the right time to become one) Watson Lake is my favorite place in the entire state and the first solo hike I took my baby boy on! We have two hike recommendations here. The first I like for carrying your kids (if they’re little) and the second I like for letting your kids explore the trail. But be careful because it’s a lake so both are along water! Watson Lake is approx 90 mins from Phoenix and the forecast high today is 18 degrees cooler 👌🏼 Still try to avoid peak heat hours (it’s still summer!), wear sunblock, check the weather to make sure temps are cool enough for *you* personally + for monsoon activity…. this area is subject to storms! Don’t forget hats and sunglasses.
