👏 HISTORIC VICTORY: The State of Vermont in the United States just passed a climate superfund bill that would force Big Oil to start paying for its climate destruction. Funding could support investments in climate resiliency, renewable energy, and more! Big Oil is the reason we’re in this #ClimateCrisis. They knew their reckless drilling was warming the planet and they’ve done nothing but deny science and delay solutions. They should pay for the damage, not ordinary taxpayers like us.  More states may follow, with California, Massachusetts, New York, Maryland, and Minnesota expected to introduce similar bills soon. #MakePollutersPay …And let’s not forget we must move beyond payment for damages and toward stopping the problem in the first place.
