Measurements:
Tandoori Marinade:
1 LB SHRIMP
1/2 TSP CUMIN
2 TSP PAPRIKA
1/2 TSP TURMERIC
1 TSP RED CHILI POWDER
1/2 TSP CORIANDER POWDER
1 TSP GARAM MASALA
1 TSP METHI
1 TSP BLACK PEPPER
1 TSP SALT
2 TSP GARLIC GINGER PASTE
SQUEEZE OF LEMON
2 TBSP OIL
2 TBSP YOGURT
Pasta Sauce:
2 TBSP OIL
1/2 ONION CHOPPED
3 GARLIC CLOVES CHOPPED
1 TBSP TOMATO PASTE
1 CUP PASTA WATER
2-3 TBSP BUTTER
3-4 TBSP HEAVY CREAM
1/2 CUP CHOPPED CILANTRO
1/2 lb. PASTA
¼ CUP CILANTRO FOR GARNISH
Recipe:
1)Mix together marinade ingredients
2)Remove 2 tbsp marinade and set to the side for later
3)Mix shrimp in marinade
4)Fry shrimp in oil, 3-4 minutes on each side over medium-high heat
*If bottom of pan starts to get too dark, deglaze with splash of water
5)Remove shrimp from pan, and add another 2 tbsp oil
6)Sweat onions and garlic for 2-4 minutes over medium heat
7)Add tomato pasta and marinade that was set aside earlier, for 1 minute
