Based on that, I was scheduled for a follow-up biopsy at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center, which revealed I had triple-negative breast cancer, an aggressive form of the disease. “After five months of chemotherapy, a lumpectomy, and six weeks of radiation, I am doing well and rebuilding my strength and stamina. I was very lucky my cancer was caught early. I had healthcare providers who really listened to me, and that made a tremendous difference.” #NationalCancerSurvivorsDay #CancerSurvivor
