The USMNTโs veteran defender Tim Ream told journalist Kyle Bonn that the 5-1 loss to Colombia isnโt a setback, but rather an opportunity to step forward.
He also said the team can learn a lot from that game, such as learning what these types of matches mean to other teams and how it needs to mean the same to the USMNT players.
At 36, Ream is the oldest player in the team and made his USMNT debut all the way back in 2010.
To give you context, guys like Gio Reyna, Yunus Musah, Joe Scally, and Ricardo Pepi were only eight at the time ๐ณ
The starting lineup for the USMNT against Colombia was the first time in their history that they had all 11 players playing in top five leagues.
Ream himself has 97 Premier League appearances for Fulham and Bolton. However, he said these are the type of lessons you learn until you retire, no matter what level youโre playing in at club football.
