The University of Kansas’ chapter of Sigma Chi has been indefinitely suspended from campus. According to a statement from Sigma Chi Headquarters, the chapter was suspended for accountability issues among its members and member actions that were inconsistent with the fraternities values. The University Daily Kansan, KU’s student newspaper, reported Tuesday the issues center around hazing and lying to the national organization. “It’s disappointing when our members’ actions necessitate a chapter closure, but this was the right thing for us to do,” said international Sigma Chi president Tim Sanderson.
