Making boba from scratch will be easy they said 🧋😦
I can safely say it’s not quite as easy as they make it look, but I think I got the hang of it after the third attempt 😂
I used a combo of feedmeimei add emmymade ‘s recipes to make this, and it turned out so well in the end!
1. Combine 45g brown sugar and 60g water in a bowl, microwave until dissolved.
2. Slowly add in tapioca starch until a dough has formed (this amount varied for me, so I’d just add until doughy). Microwave for 1 minute and knead until smooth.
3. Roll into tiny balls and place into a bowl with extra tapioca starch. Toss to coat.
4. Sieve any excess tapioca starch, and place the boba balls into a pot of boiling water. Boil for 30 minutes, then cover and allow to sit for 20 minutes.
5. Remove from the heat and pour into a brown sugar syrup (1 cup brown sugar+1/4 cup water heated until thickened)
6. Place boba into a tall glass, add add, and pour in milk tea. Serve cold with a boba straw. Enjoy! ✨
